Hyde Park is closed today as Storm Bert brings strong winds and heavy rain to London - and as a result, Winter Wonderland, has also shut denying entry to guests who have bought tickets.
The Royal Parks have taken the decision to close Hyde Park due to gusts of up to 65mph, with a yellow weather warning in place until 9pm.
The Met Office has forecast strong south to southwesterly winds throughout the day, easing later this evening as heavy rain moves east.
Winter Wonderland organisers have contacted all affected ticket holders, offering the option to reschedule or receive a refund.
With calmer weather expected in the coming week, the attraction is set to reopen on Monday following safety inspections of the park.
Visitors are advised to check official updates from Winter Wonderland and The Royal Parks for further information.
A spokesperson for Winter Wonderland said: "In line with The Royal Parks’ closure of Hyde Park due to inclement weather conditions, we will not be opening Hyde Park Winter Wonderland on Sunday 24th November 2024.
"The safety of our visitors and staff are our top priority and we are sorry for any disappointment caused.
"All affected ticket holders have been contacted directly and will have the opportunity to reschedule or refund their tickets.
"With better weather forecast in the coming week, we anticipate operating as normal from Monday, and look forward to welcoming guests again soon.
"Please keep an eye on our official channels for further updates."
