The fire was discovered at a cafe with homes above it, resulting in 20 people being evacuated from the building.
No injuries were reported, and the fire was put out by 12.47pm.
Part of the cafe's basement and a small part of the ground floor were damaged by the fire, which LFB said is thought to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault.
