Dagenham & Redbridge boss Ben Strevens is 'desperate' to give supporters something to cheer on Boxing Day.
Daggers welcome Strevens' former club Eastleigh to Victoria Road for their next National League test, having been held to a 1-1 draw by bottom club AFC Fylde on Saturday.
And Strevens says there is no better time to improve their home form, having won three and lost nine of their previous 12 meetings on their own turf in the league this season.
"I'm looking forward to it," Strevens told the club website.
"I managed to speak to most people who come to watch the game [at Fylde], thanking them for the journey they made up here.
"I know it's been an incredibly frustrating first half of the season but I just want to give everyone some Christmas cheer."
Inih Effiong gave Daggers the lead at Fylde, before an own goal from Harry Phipps handed the hosts a share of the spoils.
Eastleigh, meanwhile, beat Dorking 2-1 to make it four wins in five league outings and Strevens is hoping Daggers can upset the form book in front of their own fans.
"Boxing Day is one of the best fixtures in the whole calendar, watching the game with my dad when I was little," he added.
"Boxing Day fixtures are amazing so I really, really want us to give them something to cheer about, and I'm really going to need them more than ever to get behind the boys from the first minute on Boxing Day.
"We need to give them more to cheer about but anyone that's coming to that game, please get right behind us because I'm so desperate for this home form to get better.
"And there's no better game for it to get better for myself and the club than to beat Eastleigh on Boxing Day. That's what I'm really looking forward to."
