The Strevolution has finally got into full swing it seems.
After a four-game search for a win the Daggers got two on an exceptional Bank Holiday weekend, before making it three on the bounce on Saturday.
In spite of injuries, Ben Strevens has managed to galvanise his side whose most recent display was the best of the season so far.
It was a lack of creativity that was concerning in the opening games, but the return of the likes of Ryan Hill has certainly proven a breath of fresh air.
Hill has epitomised the energy and quality of the team in the last week, alongside Omar Mussa who has controlled the midfield, with his power and creativity.
Then in defence, in a return from long-term injury, Nikola Tavares has been a rock, earning him a place in the National League's Team of the Week.
These three standouts in each department have doubtless had a positive effect on every other player who have in turn raised their game and shown the quality that was woefully lacking in the opening weeks.
Strevens has looked to consolidate this run of form and ride on a wave of positivity by bringing in further reinforcements on loan until the end of the season: Keenan Appiah-Forson from West Ham, Aidan Francis-Clarke from Luton and Flynn Clarke from Norwich.
These loan deals are the sort that supporters have been wanting the club to do for a while - young players from top clubs - and Strevens has now delivered that to great excitement.
It is also an acknowledgement that as well as depth in the squad, that depth has to have quality alongside, with competition for places in defence and midfield hotting up with players returning from injury.
However, the attacking department still lacks the depth required and could be an area to watch out for in terms of incomings, especially with Aaron Blair returning to Braintree on a one-month loan.
So with 10 points now secured, it’s time for the Daggers to take the confidence of recent weeks into one of the biggest tests of the season as they head to second-placed Chesterfield. It will be a step up from Fylde for sure, but I am sure this group of players will relish the prospect.
The winless streak is behind them, but it is now time to see whether this manager and group of players can deliver something that has eluded the Daggers in the last few seasons - consistency.
That bid commences on Saturday, but until next week, Come On You Daggers!
