Barking got the better of Newham in their Hamro Foundation Essex League Division Three derby on Saturday.
Put into bat, having lost at Harlow Town a week earlier, they made a solid start to reach 72-1, but then lost three wickets for just four runs, including Hasnain Qureshi (44).
Bhavik Kothari (53) and Omar Khan (36) put on 77 for the fifth wicket, though, before falling in quick succession as they were eventually dismissed for 172 in the 42nd over.
Aamir Shaukat (5-18) proved the pick of the bowling for Newham, who slipped to 26-2 in reply.
Syed Adnan Ashraf (38) and Atesaaam Syed (31) moved the score to 100-3, but the last six Newham wickets fell for just 22 runs as Abdul Rehman Razzaq (5-20) ran through the tail to seal a 34-run victory.
Farhan Ejaz (2-23) and Hazrat Shah (2-43) nabbed braces for Barking, who welcome Bentley to Mayesbrook Park this weekend.
The seconds slumped to an eight-wicket defeat at Neo in the Essex County League Premier Division after being dismissed for just 108, as openers Gul Zaman Shahzad (35) and Sivakumar Subramaniam (22) top scored.
And the thirds went down by 10 runs at East London Titans seconds in Division Three, after dismissing the hosts for 145.
Opener Akkheel Rehman (31), Yousif Khan (22) and Haris Ali (21 not out) made their leading contributions.
*Goresbrook got their weekend off to a good start with a 26-run win over Rainham in the Sunday League T20 Cup on Friday.
Hard-hitting knocks by Shaun Ross (34), Jordan Calverley (41) and Shane Barwick (48 not out) saw them post 147-4, with Ted Ivory taking 3-14 as Rainham were held to 121-9.
Captain Kane Messenger (3-26) produced another hostile new-ball spell at Division Three rivals Woodford Green on Saturday, as Ivory (1-30) also had success.
Messenger completed a sharp run out, before Barwick (3-9) and Muhammad Attuallah (1-1) helped skittle Green for 67 in the 19th over.
Ross (21) and Lee Jones (14) scored quick runs in reply, before Calverley and Barwick, who hit three sixes in the space of five balls, sealed a rapid eight-wicket win.
Student Siraj Zafar (65 not out) led the seconds to 226-9 against their Green rivals, with support from Karamat Ali (31), after Juber Rukon (38), Billy Chapman (20) and captain Rohit Sharma (16) laid a foundation.
And Manish Battan, Ali and Chapman bagged a brace of victims apiece to apply the brakes in Green's reply as the hosts secured a comfortable 48-run victory.
The thirds slipped to a three-wicket defeat against Walthamstow fifths in a low-scoring clash at May & Baker.
Teenagers Abdullah Ahmed (32) and John Nicholls Jnr (13) made a bright start, but captain Billy Parndell (13) was the only other batter in double figures as Brook were dismissed for just 93.
Spinners Fahad Zafar (3-27) and Bobby Granger (3-12) reduced Stow to 53-7 after the break to raise hopes, but the visitors reached their target without any further loss.
Ivory, 18, led Goresbrook to an exciting 28-run win over Harold Wood in their Essex Sunday League clash at Harold Park.
Messenger (18), Ivory (13) and Barwick (34) made early runs, before Brook fell away to 113 all out in 25 overs.
And Zafar and Barwick took three wickets each after tea, while Jones nabbed a brace, before Erantha Muthuk (42 not out) gave Wood faint hope.
The hosts were dismissed for 85, though, as Brook bagged 18 points.
