A person has died after an incident near Wantage which is causing major delays at London Paddington.
A casualty on the tracks was reported in the Wantage area shortly before 8.30am today (September 17).
Officers and paramedics were called to the scene and the person was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
All lines between Swindon and Didcot Parkway were closed as the incident was being dealt with.
National Rail has warned that there are 90 minute delays between London Paddington and stations including Penzance, Bristol Temple Meads and Cardiff Central.
The lines have since reopened however a major disruption between these stations still expected until 3pm.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: ““Officers were called to the line near Wantage at around 8.28am today (17 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
