Marylebone High Street has been named as one of the best in Britian.
It came in number 23 on the list compiled by firstlight, which used research from AMEX to identify what shoppers want from a high street, and which British shopping spots have “the winning formula”.
The research revealed that the high streets offering a “compelling mix” of shopping and leisure experiences were most desired by Brits.
Marylebone High Street has just that, with a range of businesses from hair salons to dentists to fashion retailers.
There are also multiple options of places to stop for a bite to eat or something to drink, for example, the 108 Bar and Brasserie, Angel in the Fields, Bayley and Sage, Carlotta and more.
This study was carried out with GlobalData and surveyed 2,000 consumers across Britain.
Researchers found that factor making the top high street was “an attractive mix of retailers”, with this being important to 67 per cent of shoppers.
This was followed by good parking, which was important to 62 per cent of shoppers, and then independent pubs and restaurants being on the street, important to 52 per cent of people.
36 pre cent of people said that having “ample entertainment and leisure options” such as cinemas and theatres was also important to them.
Research also revealed that 73 per cent of shoppers believe their local high street will be important to their everyday lives in 10 years’ time.
