Firefighters tackled a fire at a block of flats in Barking.
Five fire engines and 30 firefighters battled the fire in Wheelers Cross, Barking, in the early hours this morning (August 13).
The blaze damaged half of a four-roomed flat on the 11th floor of the tower block.
No injuries were reported and the fire was brought under control in just over an hour.
A 64-metre turntable ladder from the London Fire Brigade was used as an observation tower at the scene to help the incident commander monitor the situation.

The fire brigade was called at 12.24am and the blaze was put out by 1.35am.
Crews from Barking, East Ham, and Plaistow attended the scene.
The cause is currently under investigation.
