A grass fire broke out at a country park in Dagenham today.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 2.50pm on August 9 with reports of a grass fire at Eastbrookend Country Park near Dagenham Road.
Around 25 firefighters in four fire engines from across Dagenham, Hornchurch and Ilford stations were dispatched to the scene.
An area of grass and shrubland estimated to be around 400 metres by 300 metres was on fire.
Video footage shared to social media shows smoke rising over dry grass as a firefighter is seen beating a patch of land.
The fire was under control by 3.53pm.

It comes after hot weather has seen London experience temperatures of more than 20 degrees celsius.
In hot weather, the risk of grass fires increases.
People are advised to ensure any rubbish from smoking materials and disposable barbecues is placed securely inside a bin once completely put out or taken home.
