A dispersal order has been issued across Barking Riverside ahead of a "potential unlicensed event".
The Metropolitan Police has confirmed it has put a dispersal zone in place as a result.
A S35 Dispersal Zone is in place for Barking Riverside. Any persons engaging in anti-social behaviour in this location can be directed to leave. This is due to a potential unlicensed event occurring.

The order grants police officers the power to direct anyone found to be engaging in anti-social behaviour in Barking Riverside to leave the zone.

It was first issued at 9pm yesterday (August 8) and will remain in place until 9pm on August 10.
A map shared to X shows the shaded area forming the dispersal zone which will be under the effect of the order.
The Metropolitan Police has not confirmed the nature of the unlicensed event.
