A woman is in hospital following a crash in Dagenham. 

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called at 10.07am today (July 30) with reports of a crash in Wood Lane. 

Ambulance crews and an incident response officer were dispatched to the scene. 

The first emergency responder arrived within five minutes of receiving the initial report of the incident. 

A woman was found injured and was administered treatment at the scene of the crash. 

She has since been taken to hospital. 

According to the AA, Wood Lane has remained blocked, affecting traffic in both directions between the A1083 Green lane and A1112 Rainham Road North by the Becontree Heath roundabout. 

AA has reported that crash investigation work is underway in the road.

Several bus services have been affected, including the number 5, 128 and 175 buses. 

All three services are running on diversion in both directions and will not serve the Becontree Heath Leisure Centre, Morris Road and Heathway stops. 

The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for a comment.
