A man was attacked near a barber shop in Dagenham.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to Goresbrook Road on July 27 to reports of an assault.
They attended with members of the London Ambulance Service.
At the scene, a man was found with a number of injuries and was taken to hospital.
His condition was assessed as non-life threatening or changing and he has since been discharged.

A forensics van was pictured in Goresbrook Road on July 28, but the crime scene has since been removed.
The police have yet to make any arrests but enquiries are ongoing into the incident.
The London Ambulance Service has been contacted for a comment.
