A13 Barking, Alfreds Way crash: Motorcyclist taken to hospital

Officers from the Metropolitan Police were called to the main road at 7.25am this morning (June 25) with reports of a crash. 

The incident occurred in Barking on the westbound stretch of road between Movers Lane and Lodge Avenue. 

London's Air Ambulance was in attendance (Image: Laura Roper) At the scene, a male motorcyclist was found with injuries. 

He has been taken to hospital where his condition is not believed to be life threatening. 

There have been no arrests at this time and a cordon is in place whilst police wait for the recovery of the motorcycle.

Queues have reached through Dagenham and Wennington, through to Rainham Marshes.

It is unclear at this time when the road will reopen. 

London's Air Ambulance was called in to help with the incident, landing in the nearby Castle Green field.
