A condition update has been issued after a man suffered a head injury during a fight.
The Metropolitan Police were called at 1.38pm yesterday (June 18) to Stansgate Road, following reports of an fight between a group of men in Dagenham.
Police found a man in his 20s with a head injury, and another man around the same age with minor injuries.
The Met initially said the man with the head injury was stabbed but now believe it was not a knife injury.
"The man with the head injury was taken to hospital for treatment. His condition has been assessed as not life-threatening," police said today (June 19).

An individual was subsequently arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with the fight.
"A crime scene remains in place while enquiries continue," police added today.
