A mind-bending new immersive attraction is set to to open in the capital packed with visual trickery and optical illusions.
The Paradox Museum is a 90 minute experience where visitors can navigate mirror mazes, step inside a giant kaleidoscope, or try to keep their feet on the ground in a zero gravity room.
Located on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge opposite Harrods, the new attraction opens on July 17 displaying 50 exhibits in 25 immersive rooms.
Perception-challenging highlights include working out the mysteries of the paradoxical sofa; where the walls begin and end in the camouflage room; testing their ability to walk in a straight line in the Paradox Tunnel; or trying to orient themselves in a reverse universe.
Founded in 2022 by Miltos Kambourides and Sakis Tanimanidis, the first Paradox Museum opened in Oslo and has gone on to welcome more than 1.5 million visitors worldwide at museums in Paris, Miami, Stockholm, Berlin, Barcelona, Las Vegas, New Jersey, Shanghai, and Limassol.
Combining the worlds of science, art, and psychology, the UK's first Paradox Museum will have several specially-themed rooms, including the Reverse Room which flips the familiar sight of a London tube station upside down.
The Throne Room invites guests to don crowns and take a seat upon a throne, where perception bends and visitors appear to shrink and grow.
And the shifting hallways of the Hogwarts-inspired Castle Room promises to play havoc on the mind, creating an enthralling puzzle of perception.
Miltos Kambourides says, "After the huge success of Paradox Museums in other major cities, this unique experience that stimulates the mind and senses and conquers the world, could not be missing from London, a city full of Paradoxes. The Paradox Museum is a testament that our understanding of the world is full of surprises. We invite you to embrace the seemingly unthinkable with an open mind and heart. As you explore the London-themed exhibits, prepare to be captivated by paradoxes that have baffled great minds for centuries."
Tickets are priced £14 for children, and £18.50 for adults and are on sale now at feverup.com.
