A second man has been charged with the murder of Haseeb Bhatti in Dagenham.
Emergency services were called at 1.30am on April 20, to a 50-year-old man suffering stab injuries in Rothwell Gardens, Dagenham.
Police officers attended and their initial investigations quickly led them to a second man suffering critical stab injuries in nearby Flamstead Road.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, 23-year-old Haseeb died at the scene.
The family of Haseeb are being supported by specialist officers.
The condition of the 50-year-old man was not life-threatening. He was discharged from hospital and arrested in connection with the investigation – he has since been released under investigation.
Swayf Amana, 26, of Barking, was arrested on Monday (May 27) and later charged with murder.
He was due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today (May 29).
On April 26, Frankie Burletson, 24, of Dagenham, was charged with the murder of Haseeb.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on July 16.
Three other men have been arrested and bailed in relation to the investigation.
