A main road in Dagenham has been closed for emergency electrical repair works. 

The A1112 Wood Lane has been temporarily closed by UK Power Networks to resolve the issues, with the closure expected to last for the remainder of the day. 

Drivers will be unable to travel on Wood Lane from Rainham Road North (A124) at Becontree Heath Roundabout to Whalebone Lane South and Green Lane.

Barking & Dagenham Council has reported that traffic in the area has been affected. 

They wrote on X: "There is a huge amount of traffic, so please avoid the area where possible and use alternative routes."

TfL is not showing any changes to bus services.
