A pensioner has suffered injuries after he was the victim of an early-hours attack in Dagenham.
Metropolitan Police officers were called at 01.06am to Heathway yesterday (April 30) and informed about an assault.
London Ambulance Service attended the scene alongside the police. Medics treated a 70-year-old man who was found to have been assaulted.

The man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Police said there have been no arrests and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
A police cordon was seen at the site, with some claiming to see police tape in place until yesterday evening.
