An underground station in Dagenham was closed for a police investigation after a report of blood and flesh being found on a platform.
The suspected human flesh and blood was discovered at Becontree station in Gale Street this morning (April 18).

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Becontree underground station at around 8.43am today (18 April) following reports of blood and what appeared to be human tissue on the platform.
“The station was closed while an investigation was carried out. A test of the blood confirmed it was not human.”
The station has since reopened.
