A Turkish restaurant in Dagenham has won an award for its kebabs.
Lara Grill in Whalebone Lane South won the Best Kebab Restaurant accolade for south and east London at the twelfth British Kebab Awards.
The event, sponsored by Just Eat, recognises culinary excellence within the UK kebab industry.
Lara Grill beat nine other restaurants to the title, including Whitechapel restaurant The Ottoman Doner.
They told The Post: "We feel very honoured for bringing the award to Barking and Dagenham.
"The recognition as the best kebab restaurant is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire team, from our chefs who prepare and serve each dishes with precision and creativity, to our attentive staff who ensure that every guest feels welcomed and valued."
The awards were held at Park Plaza Westminster Hotel and were judged by Nadhim Zahawi MP, Sharon Hodgson MP and Alison Thewlis MP among others.
