An awards scheme celebrating Barking and Dagenham businesses has launched once again.
The Post is among the sponsors of this year's Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2024.
This year's launch took place at Dagenham & Redbridge FC on Tuesday (March 5).
The chamber's president Jamie Banks cut a cake to mark the beginning of the awards.
Speakers at the event included 2023 winners such as David Collings, managing director of Online Lubricants which triumphed in the business growth category.

Scott Dunnell, group operations manager at Fix Auto Dagenham which won last year's green award, also spoke in front of guests.
David said: "The Barking & Dagenham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards provides some excellent opportunities for your business."
There are 12 categories to be won, with some categories expanding to include businesses based outside the borough but which do business within it.
Michael Cox, digital audience and content editor at the Post, said: "It's our absolute pleasure to be supporting an event which shines a light on Barking and Dagenham's business community.
"Times are still tough for many, so it's fantastic to be able to celebrate those which are flourishing within the borough."
The accolades will be presented at a black tie awards night, which will also be held at the football ground in Victoria Road on June 6.
Mr Banks added: “Entering the Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards is an excellent way to promote your business and gain recognition for your achievements.
"The Barking and Dagenham Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, running since 2015, are a wonderful platform for celebrating and generating business success."
The deadline for entries is 5pm on April 16.
There is no restriction on the number of categories which can be entered but the business of the year shortlist is made up of the winners of the other 11 categories.
Three finalists will be shortlisted for each of the other categories.
