A man who appeared in court charged in connection with an alleged assault has had the case against him stopped.
Rasel Miah, 32, of Serpentine Close in Chadwell Heath, was charged on October 18 in 2023 with actual bodily harm.
But the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) yesterday (January 8) confirmed that the case against Mr Miah has been stopped.
It relates to an alleged assault which took place at around 5.30pm on October 16 in High Road, Chadwell Heath.
A man in his 30s suffered head and face injuries, police had said.
His injuries were not life threatening.
Mr Miah appeared at Barkingside Magistrates' Court on October 19 where he was bailed to appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on November 15.
He has since had the charges against him dropped, the CPS confirmed.
