A man was injured in an early morning stabbing in Dagenham.
The stabbing occurred in a residential street, where officers from the Met Police and London Ambulance Service found a 20-year-old with knife injuries.
A spokesperson for the Met said: "On Wednesday 3 January at 08:00hrs, police were called to reports of a stabbing on Brittain Road, Dagenham.
"Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and a man in his 20's was found with stab injuries."
LAS confirmed the man was taken to a major trauma centre "as a priority".
His injuries have been confirmed as non-life threatening or life-changing.
A concerned Facebook user took to the social media platform, claiming: "Police taped up all the roads.".
Police are yet to make an arrest in connection with the stabbing, but have asked those with information to get in touch.
