A driver has fled the scene after ramming a car into a pie and mash shop.
Yesterday (January 1) a car reversed into Brook Pie and Mash in Dagenham, footage shows, causing severe damage inside and outside the shop.
Metropolitan Police were called to Dagenham Road at 1.30pm that day to reports a car had crashed into a shop.
"The driver had left the scene before officers arrived," a Met spokesperson said.

The video posted to X, formerly Twitter, shows a black car backing into the pie and mash shop at speed, reversing again, then driving off.

Smoke can be seen coming from the storefront, as can broken glass and destroyed shutters, shown by the footage.
Tables and chairs were also scattered, the video shows, with the inside of the shop badly damaged.
"Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver," the Met spokesperson added.
