Barking and Dagenham's council leader has welcomed the reopening of Dagenham East Police Station after saying its closure has worried residents.
The station had been shut for refurbishment, with Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas saying earlier this year the station would be shut to the public between mid-August and November 24.
Council leader Darren Rodwell said he is pleased the station, in Rainham Road South, is "up and running again".
He added: "I am aware that it has been a source of worry for a number of local residents.”
The council said the station is available to the public 24 hours a day, with a front counter service for people to access.
The front counter at Barking Learning Centre will also remain open between 10am and 5pm Monday through Friday, a spokesperson said.
