Smoke was seen billowing in Dagenham this morning - with fire crews scrambled to a house fire.
Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to the scene of a fire in Broad Street today (November 9).
The first report was made at 7.24am, with the blaze under control by 8.07am.
Concerned Facebook users shared shared images of the fire brigade's presence at the scene.
One posted a large plume of smoke and said: "Somewhere just off Broad street by the looks of it…."
A spokesperson for LFB said: "Firefighters tackled a house fire on Broad Street in Dagenham this morning (9 November).
"Most of the first floor of a two-storey terraced house was damaged by fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
"The brigade was called at 0724 and the fire was extinguished by 0807. Two fire engines from Dagenham Fire Station attended the scene."
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
