Media student Samuel Hills has had an opportunity of a lifetime working on a film set to get work experience.
The 18-year-old from Seven Kings was chosen for a production in progress, arranged by Barking and Dagenham College with the Wild Indie film company.
“It taught me loads of different skills,” Sam said. “The way it was run was like nothing I had seen before on how a movie is made.”
He experienced “the buzz of working on a set” tweaking and matching the real and unreal using virtual production techniques.
Wild Films director Gavin Saville, who invited Sam to join the set of his upcoming production, said: “Enthusiastic recruits are always needed for the UK film and TV industry. Students get access to sets to observe, learn and meet professionals to help understand where they could fit in this evolving industry.”
The project was partly filmed using state-of-the-art LED virtual production facilities in central London studios.
