The family of an 18-year-old who died after two cars crashed in Beckton say they have had their "world turned upside down".
Haaris Usman was taken to hospital with serious life-threatening injuries after reports of a crash in Royal Docks Road, Beckton, on February 5.
The police have confirmed that the budding Redbridge electrical engineer, who had studied in Ilford and Barnet, died in hospital two days later on February 7.

Haaris' brother, Daniel Usman, 24, told this paper: "[We are] absolutely distraught, [it's] tragic.
"Our world has been turned upside down."
Daniel said Haaris was "very caring, lovely, family-orientated."
He went on: "He had a very strong relationship with his younger cousins.
"For example, he used to work at my dad's office in Chadwell Heath.
"My younger cousin goes to Chadwell Heath High School, and [Haaris would]... walk from the office to go pick him up."

Daniel continued: "Any opportunity he got he'd go to see his younger cousins who lived round the corner from him.
"On holiday, he'd be the one taking them to the swimming pool, doing activities with them – he was a very selfless, caring character.
"Obviously, [he also] loved his parents, loved me, [our] dad, even his friends he treated his friends like his family.
"He'd do anything for anyone - he was that kind of person... where a neighbour would knock on the door saying, 'we need to do something; can you send Haaris round?'
"Haaris would go and help them move stuff around, that kind of thing."
Daniel said his younger brother had received his acceptance letter to study electrical engineering at Waltham College just weeks before the crash.
He had previously studied at Valentines High School in Ilford and went to the sixth form at Canons High School in Barnet.
Haaris was working for his father's lettings and construction business, Daniel's optical health company and his cousin's leather goods company in the lead-up to his course in September.
Daniel said: "He was doing everything, just to gain some experience and get an outlook on life before he started his electrical engineering course."
According to Daniel, Haaris was becoming more "business-minded", with his eye on taking over his father's business.
When he was 16, he held a scholarship at the Barnet Football Club Academy.

He had more recently been focusing on his martial arts training, which included Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which he did at Legion Grappling Academy in Walthamstow.
Daniel said: "He was an active man of character, full of life, always on the go...
"He actually had a fight coming up in March that obviously he won't be here for now."
At the time of the crash, two passengers in a white Seat Leon, including Haaris, were taken to hospital.
According to Daniel, Haaris was going to Nando's with his friends before the collision.
The drivers of both cars, aged 22 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. They have since been bailed.
Daniel added: "It actually doesn't feel real. I don't think we've completely come to terms with it.
"It feels like he's going to walk through the door but he's not."
