More than 100 temporary parking spaces are set to be installed in a Dagenham park to accommodate building work on a new pavilion.
A planning application by Barking and Dagenham Council for the 114-space car park in Parsloes Park was approved.
It will be located on half of an artificial grass pitch next to the planned new pavilion.

The work is needed to ensure visitors can keep using the pitches while the existing car park is being used for the storage of construction materials, a planning officer report said.
It added: "The application would provide additional car parking during the construction period to allow the facility to remain open to the customer during construction. With this in mind, it is considered that the proposal is acceptable in principle."
The new pavilion is part of a wider redevelopment, which also includes four covered seating stands to one of the pitches.
The temporary car park is set to be in place until October 2023.
