The first winter festival at the massive new Barking Riverside development on the Thames waterfront is planned next month with open air saunas on the foreshore including plunge pools and bucket showers.
A 'home cook' area is offering residents home-prepared dishes, hosted by Bola Obileye from Gordon Ramsay’s Future Food Stars TV show and Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch, plus entertainment aboard a moored Thames clipper with musical bingo.

The Saturday festival on December 3 from 11am till 8.30pm also has a street market with clothing and lifestyle products from up-and-coming independent businesses and creative workshops to decorate Christmas trees to take home or make kites and upcycle clothes.
The riverside saunas are £12, but the rest of the festival is free, supported by TfL, Uber Thames Clippers, L&Q Housing, Bellway developers and others.
Barking Riverside is linked to the Overground extension from Barking opened earlier this year and the new river pier with clippers from central London.
