A new TV gantry at Dagenham & Redbridge's ground has been approved to ensure it can keep hosting West Ham Women's matches.
The Hammers submitted a planning application for the upgrade to the stadium in Victoria Road, which has been approved by Barking and Dagenham Council.
A supporting document said improved camera and commentator facilities at the ground are needed to comply with new TV regulations for the Women's Super League (WSL).
The existing TV gantry is "inadequate" in size, according to the report, and a larger one is proposed alongside it.
West Ham are one of 12 teams playing in the top tier of women's football in this country.
Live WSL matches are broadcast by Sky and BBC, with the latter also showing a weekly highlights programme.
The document said the rules meant more provision is needed for cameras on the halfway line and their operatives, as well as for club analysts.
It adds: "Women's football is continuing to be promoted around the country and it is important that host stadiums are facilitated in line with this.
"By Dagenham & Redbridge FC satisfying the criteria set out by the WSL TV regulations to allow matches to be held at the stadium, development in the local area will be promoted with regards to employment opportunities and business for local establishments on matchdays."
